Who are the judges? There are 24 judges for the creative awards – 12 agency creative directors and 12 senior marketing executives.
The creative directors and the advertiser judges nominate ads and campaigns for the creative awards – the Campaign of the Year, the Art Direction Award and the Copywriting Award, These awards are judged only by the 12 creative directors. The Topicality, Best Use of Newspapers and Digital Awards are judged by panels of creative directors and media directors.

How do I enter an ad for the ANNAs? Entry to the creative awards is exclusively by judges' selection. All advertising that runs in NMA member newspapers is eligible for consideration by the judges.

How much does it cost? There are no entry fees for the ANNAs
When are the ANNAs presented? The winners' names are announced and the prizes given out at the ANNAs event every January. All the teams nominated for the awards are invited, along with leading figures from advertising and media agencies, their clients and the national newspapers. The event is hosted by a top comedian How do I know if I have been nominated for the ANNAs? When an ad is nominated, the Newspaper Marketing Agency contacts the agency How do I know if I've won an ANNA? The winners do not know they have won until the host at the ANNAs event makes the announcement. Winners are tweeted instantly on twitter.com/the_annas. All the winners are showcased on the ANNAs website the following day.

The Ads of the Month are featured in advertisements in the national newspapers and the trade press.

What is the ANNAs Annual? The ANNAs Annual is a prestigious, large-format, book, which pays tribute to the best of the year's newspaper advertising, featuring all the ads nominated for the awards. It is distributed by post shortly after the awards event – all those who attend the event receive a copy.
